The Process

Let’s create pretty paper together! Sealed specializes in custom, made-to-order invitations, programs, and day-of wedding paper. Choose to go completely custom, semi-custom or order from one of my existing invitation designs.

STEP ONE – CONTACT & CONSULTATION:  Contact me by email to inquire about your wedding or event date: I’ll email you an Invitation Design Order Form to collect your wedding details and to setup an email, phone or in-person creative consultation to review paper, samples and to discuss your dream invitation.After the consultation and your order form is received, I will put together an official project estimate for your review.

Sealed is located in Jamestown, NC and is available by appointment only.  I’m happy to travel! In-person consultations are also available in Charlotte, Raleigh and some surrounding areas.  Please inquire for details.

STEP TWO – CONTRACT: Once you decide to book Sealed for your wedding invitations a signed contract and non-refundable $200 deposit is required to begin the design process.

STEP THREE – THE DESIGN PROCESS: Let the fun begin!  Sealed will provide the Client with 2-4 wedding invitation design concepts via email for the Client to choose from based on the initial consultation and Invitation Design Order Form. After an invitation design is chosen, matching enclosure cards will be designed to coordinate. After review, the design concepts will be narrowed down to one final working design. If no designs are chosen, Sealed will submit 2-4 new designs according to Client suggestions. The wedding invitation design process takes an average of 8-12 weeks or more. Prompt communication is necessary by the Client in order not to delay the design process.

STEP FOUR – DESIGN PROOFING: Once the designs are finalized and chosen you are provided with three complimentary round of edits.  All other edits will be charged at an additional $25 each.

STEP FIVE – FINAL APPROVAL: Once the proofs are complete I will email you your final wedding invitation suite along with your final invoice. Final proof approval must be made in writing. Once final approval is given all items will be sent to print and the remainder of your invoice must be paid.  No orders will ship unless paid in full.

STEP SIX – DELIVERY: Depending on the printing method chosen for your invitation suite, and time of year, please allow 3-4 weeks for flat printing and 4-6 weeks for letterpress, engraving or thermography.  A limited number of rush orders are available for an additional fee.
